In Defense of Sampaguita

Hi My Name is Jacinta, I am the daughter of Sampaguita.  I am writing to set the record straight regarding the claims of Gary Perez.

Feb. 11,2013 -I watched Gary Perez's interview on i-Witness...I witnessed a Traitor, a Liar , a Drunk and Pathetic Man...in that order. 


Gary came to our house on 2011, pretending to be our friend. We treated him like family. We gave him a laptop, took him shopping...got him a new cellphone, eyeglasses, shoes...updated his look. He asked for money to get his guitar out of pawnshop, money for his Christmas shopping etc. He owes my Mom a lot of Money its only thru kindness she still helps him out. I have all the signed vouchers and text messages to prove this.

1977 From the very beginning he was untrue...he wanted to get the solo claims for the songs he co-wrote with Sampaguita. When my mom was in Australia he copyrighted all the songs, but not including her name in the credits. Wasn't this a treacherous move. He did this because he was brokenhearted that she left him for another guy.

He is an Ex-Boyfriend that hasn't moved-on
-Gary doesn't want money. He just wanted to get my Mom back...I-WITNESSED it. I was there when he was making blues saying to my Mom..."Did u love me, why did u hurt me" I thought to myself...Huh? ano ba yan? Sorry nalang Dude busted ka ulit.. Kaya he is doing all this things para mapansin. We told him that time he was in our house..."Lets do the accounting" ...giving him copies of all the royalty statements. He didn't even want to see it!!!

 I don't like the fact that after all the kindness and compassion My Mom has shown him thru the years he has the nerve to come back after 21 years to ruin  her name and the reputation by saying all these lies on interviews and on national TV. He is  not only ruining her reputation but ours as well (Children & Grandchildren) Which is unfair to our family!
That's why I am really upset about this. 

And if he is such a good composer... how come he can't come up with other hit song. 
Why does he have to put somebody down just promote his album. That is such a talangka mentality. 

I love my Mom very much. I told her that I am her shield and I will defend her to the very end.

I feel so bad to the kindhearted people who just want to help Gary. The only problem is that the guy that they are helping is a fraud. 

So to everyone concerned... the fans , friends, fellow musicians and family of my Mom in and out the music industry. Please Don't believe him. Help me in shedding light to those whose minds Gary has poisoned. Pls Share this blog. Thank you very much!
